4th Friday Returns to Winamac Town Park

Pulaski County Tribe (PCT) is bringing 4th Friday back to the Winamac Town Park for the summer season.

4th Friday is a free monthly gathering meant to give people a reason to come out, enjoy the place we call home, and spend time with the neighbors who make Pulaski County special.

Some residents may remember the effort as First Friday. PCT launched the idea in 2022 as a simple invitation for people to gather in local spaces, share what they had, meet new people, and enjoy the pace of Pulaski County. In 2026, the effort moved from the first Friday of the month to the fourth Friday.

The name changed, but the purpose did not.

Each month may look a little different. There may be music, games, food, vendors, creative activities, demonstrations, family-friendly features, or other reasons to stop by. Those features matter. They give people a reason to make plans, bring the kids, invite a friend, and stay a little longer. But the larger goal is simple: make it easier for people to gather.

4th Friday isn’t meant to be formal or add another commitment to the calendar. It’s a casual invitation to gather and play in Pulaski County. Come after work. Bring a chair. Pack a picnic. Support a food vendor. Join an activity. Let the kids play. Visit with someone you know or meet someone new. Stay for the evening or stop by for a short visit. It all counts.

Winamac Town Park offers a natural home for gathering, with space for families, activities, conversation, and walks along the river’s edge. 4th Friday will take place on the west side of the park, an area PCT volunteers have spent the past several years helping make more inviting for community use. When the weather doesn’t allow for an outdoor event, the PCT Creative Hub will provide an indoor space rooted in creativity, culture, and connection.

Bring a friend. Bring the kids. Or just bring yourself.

The best part of Pulaski County has always been its people. 4th Friday is one way to enjoy our home together.

The activities generally begin around 5 pm. You can learn more about featured activities each month on the PCT Facebook page. We hope to see you there!
